About the HIV team and WYPS service

The clinical nurse specialist (CNS) HIV team provides confidential care, advice, support, education and information regarding HIV/AIDS for positive people living in Tower Hamlets and to their families, partners and carers. We aim to provide care that meets individual health needs, optimizing independence and living well with HIV, in partnership with all service users and referrers.
 
We can meet service users in their home, at WYPS, or at mutually agreed venue.

Community care:

1 hour HIV testing:

We are offering a confidential HIV testing service at Mile End hospital and you will receive your result within the hour. Monday to Friday 9:00-17:00. For an appointment, please ring:

HIV education:

An educational programme with half-day modules runs throughout the year for all healthcare professionals in NorthEast London. Individual sessions for teams can be catered for. Topics include: Diagnosing HIV in primary care, Treating HIV, Explaining HIV, Paediatric HIV. For more information, please ring 0208-223-8491 or mail to
